Meet the Team
Amy Badesha
- Owner and Notary Public
Amy was born in Richmond and raised in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Amy obtained her Bachelor of Arts with a Psychology major from the University of British Columbia. Amy has over 20 years of legal knowledge and expertise. It was a result of her interest in law and giving back to her community that led Amy to pursue a career as a Notary Public. Amy was accepted into the Notary Public Education and Preparation Program and obtained her Master’s degree in Applied Legal Studies from Simon Fraser University.
Amy values participating and being actively involved in her community and has continued to support her local community by participating in annual community events such as Canada Day-Family Day, Run for Water, Abbotsford International AirShow and Relay for Life. One of her most memorable volunteer experiences was as an Accreditation Operator during the Vancouver 2010 Olympics and Paralympics where she finally got a chance to meet her favorite hockey player and fellow British Columbia native, hall of famer Steve Yzerman.
Harleen Khaira
- Notary Public
Harleen was born and raised in Abbotsford, British Columbia. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice at the University of the Fraser Valley, followed by the Legal Assistant program. Harleen joined Badesha & Associates in 2020, where she has held several roles, including Legal Administrative Assistant, Commissioner for Taking Affidavits and Office Manager.
Prior to joining the firm, Harleen worked with Big Brothers Big Sisters (“BBBS”), an experience that sparked her interest in legal studies and supporting clients through life’s significant events. Her time with BBBS emphasized the importance of guidance, clarity and compassion – principles she continues to carry in her legal practice.
Harleen completed a Master of Arts in Applied Legal Studies at Simon Fraser University in 2024, followed by the Notary Education Program in 2025. She was commissioned as a Notary Public in September 2025, and looks forward to continuing her work in supporting the community with professionalism and care.
Outside of her professional work, Harleen is an active volunteer with the Rotary Club of Abbotsford-Matsqui and the Canadian Cancer Society, supporting causes that make a meaningful impact in our community.
