Stella
CCO - Chief Cuteness Officer
Stella is a Shorkie, born on March 12, 2018. Originally from Langley, she now lives in Abbotsford with her family. Small, cute and very social, Stella is also quite the chatterbox! She loves being around people, knows her basic commands and has been known to make such an impression on visitors that she may just leave the office with you.
Stella’s primary responsibilities include welcoming clients, napping, being the centre of attention and keeping the office floors clean. She is passionate about helping others, finishing their meals and making sure no crumbs are left behind. Stella is also very particular about having her picture taken, unless, of course, she is the one doing the posing!
These days, Stella has a pretty flexible work schedule. She makes the occasional cameo at the office, especially when treats are involved but she has decided that working from home and taking long naps is a pretty good gig. She’ll come in when she feels like it, she is the boss, after all!
Stella’s interests include ear, shoulder and paw massages, green vegetables, walks and trips (especially to the beach), squeaky toys and feeling the wind in her face. Despite her small stature, she has a bark much louder than her size, especially when there’s a visitor at her door.
Although she may not be at the office as often these days, Stella is still very much part of the team. She provides plenty of entertainment, keeps everyone smiling and is always happy to remind us that sometimes the best solution to a busy day is a good nap.
Amy Badesha
- Owner and Notary Public
Born in Richmond and raised in Abbotsford, Amy has called the Fraser Valley home for most of her life. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and brings more than 25 years of legal knowledge and experience to the team.
Amy’s interest in law, along with her desire to give back to her community, led her to pursue a career as a Notary Public. She was accepted into the Notary Public Education and Preparation Program and went on to obtain her Master’s degree in Applied Legal Studies from Simon Fraser University.
Being involved in the community has always been important to Amy. Over the years, she has enjoyed meeting new people and supported local causes. She currently serves on the Canuck Place Gift of Love Gala Committee and the scholarship committee for the Tiny Sparks Foundation. She is also a past member and director of her local Rotary Club. Amy enjoys getting involved, supporting local causes and meeting the people who make her community such a great place to live.
One of Amy’s favourite memories was volunteering as an Accreditation Operator during the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver. One of the biggest highlights was getting to meet her favourite player and fellow British Columbia native, Hockey Hall of Famer Steve Yzerman. Needless to say, that was a pretty memorable day and definitely a story worth telling!
Outside of the office, Amy has a few things she takes very seriously: she is an OG matcha addict, a bit of an adrenaline junkie and firmly believes you can never have too many shoes! She loves spending time with family, friends and her four-legged baby, listening to music and finding her next adventure. Her love of people and her community carries into her work, where she enjoys getting to know her clients and being part of some of the biggest moments in their lives.
Harleen Khaira
- Notary Public
Harleen was born and raised in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Harleen graduated with distinction from the Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice program in 2020 before completing her Legal Assistant studies.
Harleen joined Badesha & Associates in 2021, where she has held several roles, including Legal Administrative Assistant, Commissioner for Taking Affidavits and Office Manager. Prior to joining the firm, Harleen worked with Big Brothers Big Sisters (“BBBS”), where she developed a passion for legal studies and supporting clients through milestones and change. Her experience with BBBS emphasized the importance of guidance, clarity, and compassion – principles she continues to carry into her legal practice.
In 2024, Harleen completed her Master of Arts in Applied Legal Studies, followed by the Notary Education Program in 2025. She was commissioned as a Notary Public before the Supreme Court of British Columbia in September 2025. Harleen is committed to supporting clients through clear communication and a sincere understanding of clients’ needs.
Outside of her professional role, Harleen values staying connected to the community and supporting initiatives that foster meaningful and positive change.
Joanna
Born and raised in the Fraser Valley, Joanna has always called the area home and is proud to be part of the local community. Joanna’s connection with Badesha & Associates began during the Legal Administrative Assistant practicum.
Joanna graduated with honours from the Legal Administrative Assistant program and has developed a strong passion for helping clients navigate some of life’s biggest milestones. She joined the team at Badesha & Associates in 2020 and brings more than 12 years of experience working in estate planning and real estate transactions.
Known for her attention to detail and approachable nature, Joanna enjoys getting to know the clients and building lasting relationships. She understands that every client and transaction is different and she brings a thoughtful and personalized approach. Her professionalism, organization and commitment to client service help ensure that every file is handled with care and that clients feel supported from start to finish.
When she’s not at the office, Joanna can usually be found enjoying the great outdoors. She loves spending time with her friends and family, exploring the backroads while 4x4ing, camping, and spending time on horseback. A true Fraser Valley local, she appreciates any opportunity to get outside, enjoy the beautiful surroundings and make memories with the people (and four-legged friends!) she loves.
